MELLOW INTO YELLOW
Mustard, custard, tweetie-pie, Selfridges, egg-yolk, school buses, daffodils, ochre - yellow comes in many hues and it's a colour that instantly screams sunshine and summer!!
Nothing like a bit (or load!!) of sunshine to make you wanna wear clothes that zing (and show off that tan) and you can do just that with the wealth of yellow out there available to bathe yourself in. This week we saw Holly Willoughby in her Jigsaw linen two piece and we had the Marks & Sparks yellow leather maxi at £200 a pop (😱😱) doing the rounds on Instagram.
Now, to be honest, yellow (like pink) hasn't been a colour to feature heavily in my wardrobe but since having dipped my toe in slowly with the odd t shirt, it's definitely grown on me. I'm not yet in the full on 'drench yourself in it' category but I'm getting there and I'm very tempted by the Zara corduroy suit below.
I've deliberately not added heavy knits or coats in this edit as I'm hoping that Summer's gonna stay around a while ......... Take a look at a selection of what's on offer and then it's up to you how much you dare to wear ......
CO-ORDINATES
Yellow works well both top and bottom and I found that there's a a lot of nice co-ordinated pieces, especially on the high street. Zara have styled theirs with the boot of the season - the white cowboy!!
